Elpiniki Zervou / Ελπινίκη Ζερβού
The soprano Elpiniki Zervou was born in Athens and grew up in Loutraki of Corinthia. In 1992, she started her studies in acting at the Drama School “Tomi” of M. Panoutsou. At the same time, she began her singing studies with F. Voutsinos and later with K. Paschalis, under whom she graduated with an A Diploma and was also awarded 1st prize. She continued studying the art of singing with Maria Koromanzou, Despoina Kalafati, and Aris Christofelis. She holds a degree in singing, as well as a diploma in English (First Certificate in English – Lower of Cambridge) and a diploma in German (Zertifikat). She has also followed classes of classical dance. She achieved a distinction at the “Maria Callas” competition of the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron)
She began her solo career with the following:
Die Hochzeit by I. Stravinsky and the Ninth Symphony by L.V. Beethoven at the Festival of Horto under the direction of G. Chatzinikos. In 1999 she began her collaboration with the Greek National Opera and since then she has interpreted the following roles: Smaragda in The tear of the moon by N. Xanthoulis, Ophelia in Maestro Conbravura by Yiannis Drositis, One of the six girls in Mahoganny by K. Weill Gretel and Sandmännchen in Hänselund Gretel by E. Humberding, Pamina and Papagena in Die Zäuberflote by W. A. Mozart, Clorinda in La Cenerentola by G. Rossini, Pauline in La vie Parisienne by J. Offenbach, Serpetta in La finta Giardiniera by W. A. Mozart, Morgana in Alcina by G. F. Händel, The second niece in Peter Grimes by B. Britten, Elvira in L’Italiana in Algeri by G. Rossini, Susanna and Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro by W. A. Mozart, Titika in the operetta The Apaches of Athens by N. Chatziapostolou, Soubrette in The virus of love by K. Giannidis.
Η σοπράνο Ελπινίκη Ζερβού γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα και μεγάλωσε στο Λουτράκι Κορινθίας. Το 1992 ξεκίνησε τις σπουδές της στην υποκριτική στη Δραματική Σχολή «Τομή» της Μ. Πανούτσου. Παράλληλα, άρχισε τις σπουδές της στο τραγούδι με τον Φ. Βουτσίνο και αργότερα με τον Κ. Πασχάλη, με τον οποίο αποφοίτησε λαμβάνοντας Δίπλωμα με Άριστα και Α΄ Βραβείο. Συνέχισε να μελετά την τέχνη του τραγουδιού με τη Μαρία Κορομάντζου, τη Δέσποινα Καλαφάτη και τον Άρη Χριστοφέλη. Κατέχει πτυχίο μονωδίας, καθώς και δίπλωμα Αγγλικών (First Certificate in English – Lower του Cambridge) και δίπλωμα Γερμανικών (Zertifikat). Έχει επίσης παρακολουθήσει μαθήματα κλασικού χορού. Διακρίθηκε στον διαγωνισμό «Μαρία Κάλλας» του Μεγάρου Μουσικής Αθηνών.
Ξεκίνησε τη σολιστική της καριέρα με τα έργα:
«Die Hochzeit» του Ι. Στραβίνσκυ και την Ενάτη Συμφωνία του Λ. Β. Μπετόβεν στο Φεστιβάλ Χόρτου υπό τη διεύθυνση του Γ. Χατζηνίκου. Το 1999 ξεκίνησε τη συνεργασία της με την Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή και έκτοτε έχει ερμηνεύσει τους εξής ρόλους:

She has also performed the following roles as a cover: Romilda in Serse by G. F. Handel, Angelica in Orlando furioso by A. Vivaldi, and Adina in L’elisir d’amore by G. Donizetti.
She collaborated with the Chamber Opera of Athens, performing the roles of Kiki in The Godson by Theophrastos Sakellaridis, Coraline in Le fifre enchanté by Jacques Offenbach, Lauretta in Le Docteur miracle by Georges Bizet, and Fanchette in Le mariage aux lanternes by Jacques Offenbach.
In a production of the Municipal Conservatory of Larisa, she performed Vivika in the operetta The Godson by Theophrastos Sakellaridis and Frasquita in Carmen by Georges Bizet.
In a production organized by the Prefecture of Corinthia, she performed the role of Alcandro in L’Olimpiade by Giovanni Paisiello.
In independent theatre, she appeared as Fairy Dora in The Sleeping Beauty by Z. Terzakis.
She collaborated with the Chamber Orchestra of the Greek National Opera, performing the motet Exsultate, jubilate by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
She took part in productions of the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron Mousikis), including Die Frau ohne Schatten by Richard Strauss, Der Zwerg by Alexander Zemlinsky (Second Maid), and the role of Tereza Lachanida in El Retablo de las Maravillas by Giorgos Kouroupos.
She has also collaborated with the Cyprus State Orchestra, performing at the Patmos Festival in works by Mozart and Vassilis Tenidis, as well as in various concerts in Cyprus.
She participated in the Gaude Mater Festival of Religious Music in Poland, performing works by Mozart and Franz Schubert.

She has also worked with the Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens and with the ensemble Ekato Kithares (100 Guitars) led by Vaggelis Boudounis.
She has given concerts throughout Greece and Cyprus. Since 1999, she has maintained a continuous collaboration with the Greek National Opera.

Συνεργάστηκε με την Ορχήστρα Δωματίου της Εθνικής Λυρικής Σκηνής, ερμηνεύοντας το μοτέτο «Exsultate, jubilate» του Β. Α. Μότσαρτ.
Συμμετείχε σε παραγωγές του Οργανισμού Μεγάρου Μουσικής Αθηνών:
«Die Frau ohne Schatten» του Ρ. Στράους,
«Der Zwerg» του Τσεμλίνσκυ (2η υπηρέτρια),

Συνεργάστηκε με τη Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα Κύπρου: στο Φεστιβάλ Πάτμου με έργα των Β. Α. Μότσαρτ και Β. Τενίδη, καθώς και σε διάφορες συναυλίες στην Κύπρο.
Συμμετείχε στο Φεστιβάλ Θρησκευτικής Μουσικής «Gaude Mater» στην Πολωνία με έργα των Β. Α. Μότσαρτ και Φρ. Σούμπερτ.

Επίσης συνεργάστηκε με τη Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα του Δήμου Αθηναίων και με το σύνολο «Εκατό Κιθάρες» του Βαγγέλη Μπουντούνη.
Έχει δώσει συναυλίες στην Ελλάδα και στην Κύπρο. Από το 1999 συνεργάζεται σταθερά με την Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή.
